The warmer temperatures have arrived and for me that means it’s officially ice cream season. I don’t know a child or adult who doesn’t enjoy an ice cream cone or treat.
I have wonderful childhood memories of going out for ice cream with my family. I love the whole experience of visiting an ice cream store. I especially like the walk up ice cream stores. I even enjoy waiting in line. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy the weather while chatting with other people in line. And what to order? I stick with my go-to order.
My favorite all-time ice cream treat is a hot fudge sundae and the best one I’ve found is at Ritter’s Frozen Custard. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. Believe me, I’ve sampled a few hot fudge sundaes and Ritter’s wins hands down. Of course there are plenty of fantastic ice cream treats- besides the sundae, but it’s the best.
Let’s talk about about the components of a great hot fudge sundae. You’ve gotta have high-quality ice cream (or custard as they call it at Ritter’s) when you make a great hot fudge sundae. It’s all about balance and proportions. Just the right amount of vanilla frozen custard, a generous pour of hot fudge, a scattering of pecans, real whipped cream and a cherry on top. Doesn’t it sound divine? It is.
This sundae is rich and perfect for sharing with your number one ice cream fan. You may not want to share, but there’s plenty.
Isn’t it about time you visited Ritter’s Frozen Custard and started a new ice cream tradition with your family and friends?
