Greenwood Bars: Indiana Brews, Great Food, Fun Times
Indianapolis bars have a lot to offer, but when Greenwood residents are looking for a good time without the drive, Greenwood bars do the job. While it might be great for a special occasion to make the trek to Broad Ripple Village or Indianapolis downtown, its not something Greenwood people want to do every weekend. For more than a decade, Peppers II has been one of the most frequented bars in Greenwood. That Place is another Greenwood bar constantly lined with Harley’s, bikes and babes. The owners work hard to schedule Indianapolis music acts every weekend, bringing in an eclectic crowd from Greenwood that love live music!
Indiana is known to have some of the best brews in the Midwest. From Upland to Brugge, the Circle City and surrounding Indiana cities are a beer enthusiasts heaven, and there are two Greenwood bars getting in on the action: Shallos and The Oaken Barrel. Though Shallos would technically considered a Greenwood restaurant, their reputation as “brewhaus” precedes them. With the largest selection of beers in Greenwood, Shallos is a great place to relax and unwind with a brewskie. Sample their imported beers, bottled beers, draft beers and of course Indiana micro brews.
The Oaken Barrel, also largely considered to be more restaurant than bar, has an unbelievable selection of beers. From Razz Wheat to Indiana Amber, your tastes buds will be in seventh heaven as you sample your way through The Oaken Barrel’s selection. Both Shallos and Oaken Barrel have delicious menus to boot. So drinking on an empty stomach should be no problem.
Buffalo Wild Wings is another Greenwood bar that has made a splash with the locals. With delicious wings (boneless or otherwise) and a wall of beers, “B-Dubs” is a perfect place to watch the next Indianapolis Colts or Indiana Pacers game. Nothing goes better with beer than chicken, and Buffalo Wild Wings gives the best of both worlds.
