Chamber of Carnage
At the East end of the seemingly harmless Greenwood Park Mall lies one of the most frightening haunted houses in Indiana, known as the Chamber of Carnage. Fairly new to the Circle City, this attraction comes to life each October with bone-chilling ghosts, goblins, and spooks that lie in wait for the brave souls who pass through the gates.
This first twisted path of the aptly named Chamber of Carnage will take you to the Torture Chamber, and as you wind deeper through the mist you’ll come upon some nasty surprises. Lost souls wander aimlessly
through the cavernous rooms and weave in and out of the ominous midevil torture devices. Guests can only pray that they won’t be one of the chosen ones to demonstrate the inner workings of the ancient contraptions.
If you manage to make it out of the Torture Chamber in one piece, more horrors await in the spellbinding Orphange of Deviant Souls. These are orphans unlike any you’ve ever encountered; the only thing that can sate their vicious appetites is human blood. Each evening they wake up hungry and wait eagerly for the poor victims who stumble across their path.
The last and most deadly section of the Chamber of Carnage is known as Carnage Hall. This final resting place for tortured souls is sure to make your hair stand on end and your heart beat faster. Pick your way carefully over the coffins littered over the earth and make sure you don’t step into the “Laboratory”–you don’t want to know what you’ll find.
This October, if you’re looking for a haunting good time in Indianapolis, head to Greenwood Park Mall and enter the ominous doors of the Chamber of Carnage. Whether you’ll make it out alive is anyone’s guess.
