Southside Art League Greenwood Indiana

Greenwood, Indiana’s Southside Art League is committed to the promotion of fine arts in Greenwood, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. They are the glue that binds the local art community together.

Aside from producing juried art competitions, the Southside Art League also offers a wide assortment of fine art classes geared for almost any interest in the arts. Just a few subjects include Drawing for Children, Still Life with Tom Slack and Oil Painting with Jerry Botzum.
Along with their regular exhibitions in the Off-Broadway Gallery, this active arts center also produces frequent special events and galas. One regular event is the “South Side Gallery Hop,” which showcases various galleries on Indianapolis’s south side. Participating galleries that join with Southside Art League’s own Off-Broadway Gallery are Green Door Fine Art, Pulse Creative Partners and Mr. French’s Workshop and Gallery.
Founded back in 1963, the Southside Art League is a non-profit group and has some 60 charter members. Over the years, the group’s expansion allowed them to acquire and renovate two historic buildings, used for classrooms, offices and a gallery.

The historic Machledt House in Greenwood, Indiana is the new site for the Southside Art League Gallery, now called the Off-Broadway Gallery.
